Relationships, Teamwork, and Problem-solving in Business...

What have you done in the past to contribute toward a teamwork environment? Currently I work on smaller teams of entrepreneurial minded people striving to lay the groundwork for solid business foundation. We produce work that is goal oriented and I give to the balance of ideas so results can only be delivered by committee. I use my strengths in full as an integral part of this team, which helps to compensate for each others weaknesses. For example, recently one of my partners was having some difficulty conceiving a promotional item that needed to get out quickly. I suggested a few things to get him stimulated. My different personality type balanced and complemented his, as we worked to meet the deadlines. The result was something neither†¦show more content†¦Describe a major change that occurred in a job that you held. How did you adapt to this change? I view change as a natural part of the workplace. As an account manager at my previous job, I was committed to that organiza tion’s continued improvement and growth. In order to accommodate the improvement and growth, much more of my time had to be dedicated to the training of new hires. The nature of my job changed to being a mentor, and I found that I was having less and less time to work with clients individually to access their needs. So I made time. Keeping in mind my desires for the overall success of the company, I was willing to adapt to what changes were necessary. It meant re-examination of my time and re-prioritizing of duties... all of which I was willing and able to do for the best interest of each campaign and the business (omit). Tell us about a time when you built rapport quickly with someone under difficult conditions. One of our clients was seemingly inconsolable about what was viewed as a lack of high level service. Immediately I knew that I need to counter the anger by establishing an upbeat and personable atmosphere. Using active listening skills I took notes, was attentive and avoided the temptation to interrupt, criticize or argue with the client.
